Azrested added a dedicated record review workflow for visitors who believe a page is inaccurate, outdated, or associated with the wrong person. The process creates a clearer path for identifying the exact page, explaining the concern, and providing material that can be evaluated.
When to use the review form
The form is intended for a specific Azrested record page. It may be appropriate when identity details appear to point to a different person, information does not match the cited public source, or later official documentation provides important context that the page does not reflect.
General search questions, emergencies, and requests to change a government database require a different path. Azrested cannot contact a jail or court on a visitor???s behalf and cannot provide legal advice.
What makes a request actionable
- the complete URL of the Azrested page being reported;
- a concise description of the exact field or issue in question;
- enough information to distinguish the record from a person with a similar name; and
- an official source or supporting document when one is available.
A focused request is easier to review than a broad statement without a page link. Visitors should avoid sending unrelated sensitive information and provide only what is reasonably needed to understand the issue.
What the review can change
The workflow applies to content displayed by Azrested. A review can examine how the site presents a page and whether available supporting information warrants a correction or other publishing action under the site???s policies.
Azrested cannot edit a jail, sheriff, court, clerk, or agency database. If the official source is wrong, contact the office that owns that record as well as submitting a site review.
What happens after submission
A complete request can be matched to the reported page and evaluated against the supplied context. The presence of a request does not itself establish that the page is inaccurate, and submission does not guarantee a particular outcome. The goal is to give each report enough structure for a meaningful review.
Supporting guidance
Before submitting, read How We Fix Records and the Record Review FAQ. When ready, use the Report a Record Problem form and include the exact page address. For changes to official custody or case information, contact the responsible public office directly.
