Record Review FAQ

What kinds of requests does Azrested review?

Azrested reviews correction requests, sealing orders, qualifying Arizona expungement orders, court directives, mistaken identity claims, juvenile-related issues, booking photograph concerns, and other documentation-based requests that may present a legally sufficient basis for change.

Will Azrested remove a record because charges were dropped?

Not automatically. A dismissal or similar outcome may be relevant, and in some situations it may support a sealing request under Arizona law, but requests are reviewed based on the documentation submitted and the legal basis supporting the requested action.

What documents should I submit?

Submit the exact court order, agency correction, identity documentation, or other records that support the requested review. If the request depends on a sealing order, include the signed sealing order. If the request depends on Arizona expungement, include the signed expungement order.

What Arizona laws may be relevant?

Depending on the request, review may involve Arizona public-records principles under A.R.S. sections 39-121 through 39-121.03, sealing under A.R.S. section 13-911, set-aside under A.R.S. section 13-905, limited Arizona expungement under A.R.S. section 36-2862, or juvenile record restrictions under A.R.S. section 8-208.

Does a set-aside automatically remove a record?

No. A set-aside may be considered, but A.R.S. section 13-905 does not require law enforcement to redact or remove a record merely because a conviction was set aside.

Does a sealing order automatically remove a record everywhere?

Not necessarily. The Arizona Judicial Branch explains that sealing under A.R.S. section 13-911 applies to records controlled by criminal justice entities and that records published or distributed before sealing may still be accessible. Azrested reviews the order and the published record case by case.

Does Arizona expungement apply to every criminal case?

No. Arizona expungement under A.R.S. section 36-2862 is limited to specified marijuana-related offenses. Many other cases may involve sealing, set-aside, correction, or other relief instead.

How are booking photograph requests handled?

Booking photograph requests may require proof of identity, specific identification of the record at issue, and a legally sufficient basis tied to the requested change.

How do attorneys, courts, and agencies contact Azrested?

Use the legal contact page or email legal@azrested.com with the relevant record URL, subject name, and supporting documents.
